Dr. ZhiJing Xue brings a highly technical and research-driven engineering background to MicroLumix Bioscience Technologies, with expertise in mechanical engineering, advanced manufacturing, composite materials, process optimization, and product development. Her work has focused on translating complex research concepts into practical engineering solutions through hands-on testing, advanced modeling, and cross-functional collaboration. 

Dr. Xue earned her Ph.D. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her experience spans DOE-funded research, advanced materials development, additive manufacturing, process optimization, and computational modeling, with a focus on improving performance, manufacturability, and consistency in complex engineering environments.

With a strong foundation in advanced materials and manufacturing, Dr. Xue brings a thoughtful, research-driven approach to engineering – focused on transforming technical complexity into practical, scalable solutions.

Outside of work, Dr. Xue enjoys hiking, LEGO building, and continuously learning new skills – an extension of her thoughtful and research-driven mindset.
