Kelly Moss
Director of Emerging Healthcare Threats - Center for Healthcare Threat Intelligence (CHTI)
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Kelly Moss is the Director of Emerging Healthcare Threats within the Center for Healthcare Threat Intelligence (CHTI) at MicroLumix Bioscience Technologies. In this role, she focuses on identifying environmental transmission risks and supporting proactive strategies that strengthen infection prevention, contamination control, and safety across clinical environments.
Leveraging her background in healthcare operations, Kelly works closely with clinical, quality, and patient safety teams while collaborating with risk management, epidemiology, and infection prevention and control (IPC) professionals to evaluate transmission pathways and increase awareness of frequently overlooked risks throughout healthcare facilities.
At CHTI, Kelly partners with hospital safety executives, senior nursing and medical leadership, and IPC teams to assess emerging threats and advance infrastructure-based protection strategies designed to support safer care environments. Her work contributes to broader initiatives surrounding Managed Contamination Infrastructure (MCI), with a focus on reducing exposure risks across High-Volume Touchpoints (HVTs) and improving environmental safety readiness throughout healthcare systems.
“Healthcare environments are constantly managing visible risks, but many transmission pathways still go unnoticed. My focus is helping healthcare leaders better understand those risks and support proactive strategies that contribute to safer care environments.” – Kelly Moss
